HEAVY SA 2021 cancelled.

Due to covid restrictions the HEAVY SA gig, slated for April 17th has been cancelled. This is really unfortunate as these gigs are always great but with the way things are, with that many bands and crowd numbers limited it was pretty much impossible. Below is a statement from Jason's Facebook page.

Here's the news you didn’t want to hear, but I guess you expected. Due to the ever changing / ongoing restrictions, there's no other choice but to cancel the upcoming 2021 HEAVY SA Fest! With current venue caps being under 200 there is no way a show like HEAVY SA which features over 100 band members / crew and has sold over 400+ tickets can be held at the moment.
I know how much everyone (me and the bands included) were looking forward to another killer HSA (even after rescheduling it 3 times) and hopefully when things are back to normal (well, as close as possible) HEAVY SA and The New Dead can live again.
Ticket refunds:
For those who have purchased tickets here is the info on how to get your refunds, but if you can afford it, please consider thinking of your ticket price as a small donation towards the bands, recouping costs and keeping Heavy SA alive.
Moshtix – All tickets purchased through Moshtix will be refunded automatically please allow 7-10 days for this to happen.
Tickets purchased through myself or The New Dead Promotions Online store :
I will get in touch via the email you purchased them through about your refund.
Tickets through one of the bands:
Please contact the band you purchased the ticket through and they will process your refund.
Apologies once again to everyone involved with the show (bands, crew, venue etc) and to the killer heavy music fans we have here in S.A. who get behind these events every year and make them all possible. We will rise again!
