Actually had a Metal gig to go to last night. What ? A gig? I know, right? Anyway a smattering of photos can be found by clicking here.
I was very fortunate to have seen the last show that THE DARKNESS were able to play in Australia, before having to cut their tour short because of the virus scare. Blown away by how good the show was. YOu MUST see them next time they tour. Support band SOUTHERN RIVER BAND were also great. Photos below. There's a slideshow but best viewed on the Google albums.

JINJER steamrolled their way through Adelaide last night. Lion Arts Centre was packed to the gills and it went off like a frog in a sock. Check out the action below.
There's a slideshow below but the best way is through the albums on Google. Check them out-

CHURCHES OF STEEL 4 happened the other week and it was probably the best one yet. A full on day of METAL, capped off by Denmark's ARTILLERY pushing out the best thrash set I've EVER seen.
Check the gallery here.
Melbourne's VIRGIN SOLDIERS came through Adelaide recently and put on a great show, they've certainly lost nothing at all musically. Photos are online here.
CORROSION OF CONFORMITY blew through town last night and put on a killer show, along with their support, EMERGENCY RULE. I managed to snap a few shots through the smoke. You will find them by following the links below.

JOHN GARCIA AND THE BAND OF GOLD swung through Adelaide last night, with Melbourne's DON FERNANDO and Adelaide's DIRTY PAGANS in support.
Interesting show to say the very least, playing material from a long career. He had the crowd eating out of his hand. A good band backing him at the top of their game.
The Adelaide round of the WACKEN METAL BATTLE - AUSTRALIA was held Saturday night. Five bands competed, with PLAGUE 9 taking out the win, advancing to the final in Melbourne on March 21st.
Congratulations to all the bands who graced the stage that night.
Here's some photos I snapped. Enjoy!
Okay Adelaide, I've seen it all now. The OPETH gig was fully seated and you were made to stay in your seat? Pardon the language, but what the f*ck?
OPETH were excellent at being OPETH I suppose, quite a different gig though from the one I saw at the same venue on the Ghost Reveries tour in 2006.
Only a short time for photos and nowhere near the front as you can probably tell.
I'm still aghast at the seating though....

From a dark corner of HQ recently, ROSS THE BOSS played to a small yet very appreciative crowd, and proved himself to be the gentleman once again. I snagged some photos through the darkness.

THE NEW DEAD FEST happened on the weekend and it was nuts, as you'd expect. I managed to snag a few photos through the choking smoke.

DARK ANGEL stormed through Adelaide on Saturday night, and played a very dark Enigma Bar. See below for the photos I took. Best I could do given the circumstances.

CRADLE OF FILTH put on a very entertaining show at The Gov recently. Here are some photos I took. Enjoy.

I recently saw METAL CHURCH in Melbourne. Holy crap, what a gig. To see such a historic band in such a small venue was amazing. Here's some photos I took. Enjoy.
